About your local trainer

Hello! I’m Abi, I’m a Paediatric First Aid Trainer and I provide local baby and child first aid classes to parents and carers of children in Northampton and Bedford areas

From the moment my daughter was born the world became a scarier place. I was really anxious about something happening to her so to help ease that anxiety I took a Daisy First Aid class in my home along with my parents as I knew they would be looking after her when my maternity leave ended. It taught me what to do in an emergency situation should the unthinkable happen, as well as practical information on what to do with those inevitable bumps and scrapes that active toddlers have a habit of getting. The knowledge I gained from the class was invaluable and it gave me the confidence I needed to relax a bit and just enjoy time with my daughter.

Fast-forward three years and here I am, a Daisy First Aid Trainer myself! I absolutely love what I do. It is such a privilege to be able to give other parents the confidence to know what to do should an emergency occur and I really love that I get to meet other parents (and their babies!) in my classes too!

Our Baby First Aid course covers all the essential first aid skills every parent and carer of a young baby should know — from responding to choking and unconsciousness to recognising signs of serious illness. Perfect for expectant parents, new mums and dads, grandparents, and anyone who cares for a baby. Available as an in-person class in your local area or as an online course you can complete at your own pace, on any device.

This multi award-winning class covers first aid for both babies and children, giving you the skills and confidence to handle a wide range of emergencies — from choking and CPR to burns, seizures, and allergic reactions. Suitable for anyone who cares for a baby or child. Available as a hands-on in-person class with one of our expert instructors, or as an online course you can complete at your own pace, on any device.

Anaphylaxis Awareness

Delivered at your home, workplace or setting
A serious allergic reaction can escalate rapidly — and knowing how to respond could save a life. This course provides anyone responsible for the safety of others with an in-depth understanding of how to recognise the signs of anaphylaxis, administer an auto-injector (such as an EpiPen), and put appropriate management plans in place. Delivered on-site at your workplace, school, or community setting, this session is suitable for any individual or team who may need to respond to a severe allergic reaction.

Basic Life Saving Awareness Class

In this two hour class you will gain the knowledge and practical competencies needed to deal with basic life saving situations, including stroke and heart attack.
