FAQ’s
Do I need a first aid qualification to run a children's activity?
While legal requirements vary depending on your activity type and setting, most children’s activity providers are expected to have at least one qualified first aider present at sessions. Many insurers and booking venues also require evidence of first aid training. Our team can help you identify the right qualification for your specific setting and requirements.
Which first aid course is most suitable for activity providers?
It depends on your role and the nature of your activity. The Baby & Child First Aid course is a great starting point for anyone working with younger children. For a nationally recognised qualification, the Level 3 Emergency Paediatric First Aid (EPFA) or Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) are both popular choices for activity providers. Get in touch and we’ll help you find the right fit.
Are your courses recognised by the Children's Activities Association?
Yes — Daisy First Aid is a proud partner of the Children’s Activities Association (CAA) and the Institute of Children’s Activity Providers (ICAP). Our courses are well regarded within the children’s activity sector and are widely accepted by insurers, venues, and industry bodies.
Can you deliver training at our activity venue or club?
Yes — several of our courses can be delivered on-site at your venue or activity setting, including Anaphylaxis Awareness. On-site training is a convenient option for teams, minimising travel and disruption to your schedule. Contact your local Daisy First Aid instructor to discuss availability.
How long are the qualifications valid for?
Our Level 3 qualifications (EPFA, PFA, EFAW and FAW) are all valid for 3 years. We recommend booking a refresher before your certificate expires to ensure you remain qualified and compliant with your insurer’s requirements.
Can I book training for my whole team?
Absolutely — group bookings are available and are a great way to ensure your entire team is trained to the same standard. Whether you have a small team of two or a large organisation with multiple sites, get in touch with your local Daisy First Aid instructor to discuss options.
Are online courses available for activity providers?
Yes — several of our courses are available online, including Baby & Child First Aid and Parents Mental Health First Aid. Online courses can be completed at your own pace on any device, making them ideal for busy activity providers who can’t always make it to an in-person session.
Don’t leave the safety of the children in your care to chance.
