FAQ’s

Do I need any first aid experience to attend?

Not at all. Our classes are designed for complete beginners. Whether you’ve never done a first aid course in your life or it’s been many years since you last did one, our friendly instructors will guide you through everything step by step in a relaxed, judgment-free environment.

How long are the classes?

Class length varies depending on the course. Our Baby First Aid class is 1 hour, while our Baby & Child First Aid class runs for 2 hours. Online courses can be completed at your own pace. Full timings are listed on each individual course page.

Are these classes suitable for childminders and nannies?

Yes — our classes are popular with childminders, nannies, au pairs, and nursery staff as well as parents and family members. If you’re looking for a course specifically for professional childcare providers, we also offer dedicated courses for childcare and activity providers.

What will I learn?

Topics vary by course but typically include: infant and child CPR, responding to choking, managing burns, scalds, and head injuries, recognising signs of serious illness, and knowing when and how to call for emergency help. You’ll practise hands-on techniques so you feel genuinely prepared, not just informed.

Are your courses accredited or Ofsted-recognised?

Daisy First Aid is an award-winning provider with a strong track record across the UK. Please check the individual course pages or contact us directly for the latest information on accreditation relevant to your needs.

Can I book a private class for a group of friends or family?

Absolutely. Many of our franchisees offer private group bookings — perfect for NCT groups, antenatal classes, or family gatherings. Get in touch with your local Daisy First Aid instructor to find out more.

Are online courses available?

Yes — if you can’t make it to an in-person class, we offer online courses you can complete from the comfort of your own home, at a time that suits you.
