I’m Chloe, the local Daisy First Aid Trainer for Southend, and surrounding areas.

Here are 5 things about me…

Why I became a Daisy First Aid Trainer….

After I had my first daughter, I was unable to return to my job with any flexibility. Working long days up to 6 days a week would have meant not being able to see my baby grow.

Realising that many of my new mummy friends had little or no first aid skills, something that was very much part of my current job, I came across the Daisy First Aid family – and very quickly knew this was the job for me!

I’ve been a franchisee for 5 year now and can honestly say it has never felt like work.

My background/own experience…

I spent 15 years in Aviation in various roles. With 10 years in the training department, one of the subjects I taught was aviation medicine. I also had a few first aid incidents over the years to act on myself.

I’ve run daisy for 5 years specialising in paediatric first aid.

Lots of my first aid experience has happened as a mum at home with my 2 girls– I’ve dealt with choking, febrile seizures, head injuries along with a few cuts and grazes.

When I teach my classes, I share my experiences to put parents at ease – it doesn’t matter how careful you are, things happen.

What I love about teaching…

I love meeting other local parents, and seeing how relieved and relaxed parents are at the end of class when they have all the knowledge and have enjoyed the session.

I also really love hearing people’s stories, especially their childhood stories.

Getting to leave my classes feeling a real buzz knowing that I’ve helped people feel confident and assured, receiving feedback and reviews. I also love getting updates of how you and your family are getting on.

My proudest moment…

I have lots of moments that I’m proud of as a Daisy First Aid trainer…

Setting up and running a new business with a 9 month old and being pregnant with my second baby.

Being nominated and wining a few different awards in the Essex mums awards for 4 years in a row.

The most proudest moment is knowing that my training has saved lives.

Something fun/interesting/ or important about me….

I’m dyslexic but have never looked at it as a disadvantage as I have a photographic memory and I’m very creative.

Also… I have never drunk a cup of tea or coffee!
