Say hello to Kirsty
Hello! I’m Kirsty, and I am a Paediatric First Aid Trainer. I provide local baby and child first aid classes to parents, parents-to-be, grandparents, family members, carers, or anybody spending time with children including babysitters, teachers, soft play staff (the list is endless …) in the Stirlingshire & The Scottish Borders and surrounding areas.
Having worked in the NHS for 15 years as a Clinical Scientist specialising in microbiology, I have seen first hand how important it is to seek medical advice when it is necessary, and knowing the right time to do this, and when a little bit of first aid goes a long way.
As a mum to a teenage son who has not known the meaning of danger since he was born, plays rugby, and any other sport he can get involved in, and a daughter who is a keen gymnast and dancer, I have personal experience of a wide variety of first aid emergencies, from cuts and grazes to broken bones!
